Hello to all
The modelkit of the FCM-36 Azimut Production up now, it's the temp in his camouflage paint typically French 40s.
After cleaning with soapy water and drying at least 48 hours. I had a coat of paint finishing gray. Also have to wait 24 hours for complete drying of the paint.
The base is made with sand shades Tamiya XF-60 sand and buff, and diluted with the diluent of the brand. We do not forget to add a drop of varnish to make x20 clean paint over satin and avoid orange peel.
The passage is several times the airbrush and thin layers. It is possible at this stage to have a sanding defects is that you forgot, or you have not seen with paint finishing. So at this moment, it is still possible to modify and sanding defects before attacking phase weathering.
The first weathering painting is reproduced with the clarification and shading of the base paint color sand. The colors used are the base paint sand thinning on panels with a flesh tone added to the base and fits perfectly. And shading, tone brown also added to the base color sand. All these colors will be very diluted and sprayed at low pressure.
One last step must be done. It will unify the different tones that are thinning and shading, base color with very dilute sand, ironed on the entire modelkit.
Camouflage, inspired great numbers of profiles GBM magazine allows our modelkit to reproduce the French camouflage of the time.
Here the colors are still drawn from the Tamiya range. Have the presence of mind that we should approach the shades that you can see on profiles or shades on armored scale 1.
However, they should always be clear, since with different filters and oil paintings juice (Wash and filter) to the oil paintings. Shades of your foundation or camouflage will darken as you wear stages of painting.
Note that I took before applying decals, darken the corners and edges with a darker paint, here a dark brown very diluted.
Before installing the decals, spray a gloss varnish protects the paint surface and allow a better grip of the decals.
The decorations of the French tanks are not legion, it must do with what we have here is the badge of clover drawn on a sheet of decals and decorations of the unit are painted by hand.
The second phase of the patina and wear camouflage paint can be closer to reality. Paint faded by the sun, due to various weather but also worn by other factors such as tree branches, for example, nails soles of boots crew, mechanics and tooling during revisions the machine.
To reproduce this, you must be patient and have a good painting equipment.
Have begun with a first time, a general filter Brown Wash, homemade. Then stretching paint artists oils of different shades, Naples yellow, dark green, brown and white and orange made by small nuts on inclined surfaces. Helped a flat brush or tip moistened with thinner, I pull my nuts paint from top to bottom.
The flat surfaces are treated with oils filters shades mentioned above, diluted to 80% thinner. The hollow will be treated with juice Dark wash again homemade (alternative products marketed a known brand in our leisure), in the intersections of armor plates, panels and around rivets.
I can reproduce the peeling paint and some scuffing with acrylic paint in shades of bright colors hidden in white paint. Galling deeper, those who initiated the metal surface. Imitated with are chocolate brown with a fine brush past and a sponge.
Tools and other armored elements painted with a brush I put my earth pigments diluted with water on surfaces that are exposed to dust and dirt. I brush my dry pigments was using a dry brush, and then I continued to remove pigments now with another brush this time soaked in water, reproducing the streaks of mud.
Satisfied with the result with the imitation of the mud, I now mimics dust sometimes with paint color Buff XF-57 Tamiya spray with an airbrush, sometimes with dry pigments deposited.
As I wanted my FCM-36 is in exercise and winter, I put the baking sodium bicarbonate to reproduce the snow accumulated in the hollow armored. This mixture is mixed with a gloss acrylic, then I sprinkle baking soda still.
This snow is of course littered with colored oils which have the color and the fat of the land, then I stick stalactites (clusters of clear plastic stretched to the flame of a lighter) under shielded in the varnishing brilliant thereafter.
Exhausts and tracks are treated with rust pigments homemade (see article on this links; http://plasticmodelhobby.blogspot.fr/2012/01/comment-faire-ces-pigments-rouillehow.html and http://plasticmodelhobby.blogspot.fr/2012/01/exemple-dutilisation-des-pigments.html ). Must first be painted with a brown, then remove the rust pigments on the surface to work. These will be secured with rust color filters.
Mechanical grease and traces of oil, for their part will be played with paint in oils artist with dark colors, bitumen, asphalt and earth burned hers. For the brightness of the fat should be barely add a gloss paints because the oils are already shiny tube.
Les arêtes du blindé sont traitées avec une mine de critérium ou bien un crayon HB. Les chenilles reçoivent a leur tour le même traitement ,cette fois ci avec une estompe.
The edges of the shield are treated with mine criterion or a pencil. The track links are in turn the same treatment, this time with a stump.
